How to Enroll

Please follow the steps below to enroll into the Air Cadet program:

 

Who Can Join !!

To join Air Cadets, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a legal resident of Canada;
    • NOTE: A legal resident of Canada is a Canadian citizen, a landed immigrant, or, the dependent of a person who is lawfully resident in Canada on a temporary basis for the purpose of education or employment.
  • Provide proof of provincial/territorial health insurance of equivalent;
  • Be at least 12 years of age;
  • Be less than 19 years of age;
  • Be in good physical condition;
  • Not belong to any other Cadet corps or Squadron;
  • Be interested in the Cadet Program;
  • Have Parent/Guardian permission; and
  • Be acceptable to the Commanding Officer of the squadron.

 

Step 1 – Prior to the Cadet Registration Night:

  1. Complete the On-line registration via the following link:   CLICK HERE
  2. Complete the Important Contact Information form: CLICK HERE
  3. Complete the Code of Conduct form: CLICK HERE
  4. Complete the Uniform Acknowledgement Form CLICK HERE

Completing the on-line registration and additional forms prior to arrival for the Recruit Registration Night will speed up the enrollment process.

Step 2 – On the Night of Registration:

  1. Bring a copy of the on-line enrollment(cadet application) form
  2. Bring the completed Additional Information Form
  3. Bring the completed Code of Conduct Form
  4. Bring the completed Uniform Acknowledgement Form
  5. Bring the Cadets Ontario Health Card or Private Health Care if you don’t have OHIP
  6. Bring a Copy of the following for the Cadet:
    1. a birth certificate issued by a Canadian provincial, territorial or federal government agency; (no certificates of live birth please)
    2. a valid Canadian passport;
    3. a valid Canadian Citizenship Card or
    4. a valid Permanent Resident Card or
    5. a valid visa or permit (work, study, resident, etc.) (with photo) issued by the Canadian government which legally authorizes the person to reside in Canada for an extended period of time; Please provide a copy of the passport of your country of residence.
  7.  A one-time registration fee of $20, payable by e-transfer to 151rcacs@gmail.com , to cover the following :
      1. Squadron T-Shirt
      2. Name Tag
      3. Squadron ID Card
Requirements to be a Cadet:

The recruit information night is held at our Squadron Headquarters, Rotary Hall, 254 Centre Street South, Oshawa. Parking is available across the road at Durham Alternate Secondary School (Old Village Union Public School), accessible from Gibb Street.
