Requirements to be a Cadet:
- MUST be between ages of 12-18 at the time of joining
- A Canadian Citizen or have Permanent Resident Status
- Be in good physical health
- Be of good moral character
Attend one of the parent/recruit information nights held each training year. The night is held to provide a general overview of the cadet program, give parents/cadets a chance to look at a cadet squadron in action and ask questions of our experienced staff.

The recruit information night is held at our Squadron Headquarters, Rotary Hall, 254 Centre Street South, Oshawa. Parking is available across the road at Durham Alternate Secondary School (Old Village Union Public School), accessible from Gibb Street.
Application For Membership
Once you have decided to Join one of Canada’s oldest and best cadet squadron’s, the Recruit Application Package must be completed and returned to the recruit officer/staff. This package will be provided after the every information night or can be downloaded at the top of this page. You must complete this package to participate in any cadet activities.
Please, present originals AND submit photocopies of proof of Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status. Please show your Ontario Health Card to validate the information on the application form.
Acceptable Identification documents include:
- Canadian Passport or
- Canadian Birth Certificate/Card or
- Canadian Citizenship Certificate/Card or
- Canadian Permanent Resident Card
One-Time Registration Fee of $20
A one-time registration fee of $20 (payable by cash or cheque) is to cover the following :
- Squadron T-Shirt
- Name Tag
- Squadron ID Card
