Completing the package prior to arrival for the recruit information night will speed up the enrollment process.
Requirements to be a Cadet:
COVID-19 – PLEASE REGISTER FIRST
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all new recruits must register for one of our Recruit Information Nights. We are allowed to have no more than 20 people per session and ask that new recruits be accompanied by one parent/guardian member only.
New Recruits MUST be 12 years of age to begin training.
To Register, please complete the information below, we will get back to you with the dates of the information nights.
The recruit information night is held at our Squadron Headquarters, Rotary Hall, 254 Centre Street South, Oshawa. Parking is available across the road at Durham Alternate Secondary School (Old Village Union Public School), accessible from Gibb Street.
Application For Membership
Once you have decided to join one of Canada’s oldest and best cadet squadron’s, the Recruit Application Package must be completed and returned to the recruit officer/staff. This package will be provided after every information night or can be downloaded at the top of this page. You must complete this package to participate in any cadet activities.
Please, present originals AND submit photocopies of proof of Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status. Please show your Ontario Health Card to validate the information on the application form.
Acceptable identification documents include:
- Canadian Passport or
- Canadian Birth Certificate/Card or
- Canadian Citizenship Certificate/Card or
- Canadian Permanent Resident Card
A one-time registration fee of $20 (payable by cash or cheque) is to cover the following :
- Squadron T-Shirt
- Name Tag
- Squadron ID Card
