Squadron Chief Warrant Officers

The Squadron Chief Warrant Officer (SCWO), formerly known as the Squadron Warrant Officer, is the highest-ranking cadet position in 151 Squadron and the most senior appointments a cadet can achieve. At any time, only one cadet may hold this role. Appointed by the Commanding Officer, the SCWO serves as the senior cadet representative and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the squadron while mentoring fellow cadets.

Becoming an SCWO

Cadets are considered for this appointment after reaching the highest training levels in the Air Cadet program. The selection process has two phases:

1. Rank Eligibility List (REL): Cadets apply and are assessed for eligibility.
2. Appointment: Eligible cadets are reviewed, interviewed, and scored before the Commanding Officer makes the final appointment.

This prestigious role recognizes exceptional leadership, dedication, and merit.
